Thank you for trusting me
to capture your memories.
This handsome devil is my husband Sam. He's my tech support when I can't get something to work. He also fills in as a second shooter every now and then. We have three girls ages 12, 9 and 9. Yes, the last two are twins. We are creatives at heart. Sam is a graphic designer and I used to be too before I had the twins and plunged into motherhood full time.
Photographing weddings and portraits allows me to keep those creative juices flowing. I've been taking pictures since I was in high school, which was way back when film was used. I got my BFA at BGSU and focused on photography. I never dreamed that 20+ years later I'd still be shooting and making a career out of it.
I'm a girl mom. I braid hair, paint nails and argue with these girls about everything. The teenage years with all of their hormones and emotions should be fun around here. Sam's hair will be completely gray before they finish high school.
We're close with our parents and sisters and spend as much time with them as we can. They spoil the girls rotten but somebody has to.
I'm always trying to squeeze a quick trip in whenever we can. My dream is to be that family that loads up in the RV and drives all over the country. I just want to see new things, eat new things and take photos of it all. I want my girls to not be afraid of a little adventure. I value experiences over possessions in life.
I never thought I'd be a soccer mom but I'm nailing it. I am that mom on the sidelines of my girls' games with my big lens just snapping away. My camera is my soothing tool. It keeps my hands and brain busy during games so I'm not yelling. In the spring and fall, my Facebook posts are all about soccer. I've watched more USWNT and NWSL games than I care to admit. I can rattle off players and their clubs like it's nothing.
