I'm not a writer... like at all, but I still love to blog. I love to see how all of the photos from a wedding or session come together. It's like a visual story of the day.

According to Courtney it was not love at first sight when she met Kyle. They met in their 9:00 am, Friday morning engineering class. If you’ve ever had a Friday morning college class then you know what I’m talking about. She said he smelled like a bar and was pretty sure he and his friends hadn’t taken a shower that morning. Thankfully Kyle cleaned himself up and was able to win Courtney’s heart.
Thanks to these two I got to take my first trip to Athens last weekend. It seemed appropriate that they wanted to have their engagement session in a place so special to them. They met at OU and Kyle even proposed there. It’s a beautiful campus. The first half of the session was perfect except for the random crack of thunder directly over our heads. It was a little concerning considering I was standing on a metal ladder and carrying around metal equipment. The second half of the session…. it rained. A lot. We were able to sneak in a few shots here and there and embrace the weather. I’d say it made for a better story in the end. It was great hanging out with these two as we watched the rain and the deer and talk college stories and wedding plans. Congratulations and I can’t wait to celebrate with you in September.
It rained for the entire second half of their session. Can you spot the deer in the photo on the right? 😉
