I'm not a writer... like at all, but I still love to blog. I love to see how all of the photos from a wedding or session come together. It's like a visual story of the day.

I know you’re all just dying to see our family vacation photos. Well you’re in luck because here they are. We spent a few days camping at East Harbor State Park with my parents. As soon we got there, we went straight to the beach. I used to play on this same beach as a kid. It seemed a lot bigger back then. The girls have never seen or been to a body of water this big. Ava kept calling it the pond. They have no fear of the water that’s for sure. They all jumped right in. My mom nerves were on high alert.
We went to Cedar Point the next day which was amazing for the girls. They loved it! The twins were afraid of the real life characters at Camp Snoopy though so I’m glad we haven’t splurged on the whole Disney World thing yet. I didn’t take the camera there. It was a phone photography kind of day. Grandma spoiled us all with stuffed animals, taffy, ice cream, pony rides, wine and moonshine. The ice cream, wine and moonshine were for Sam and I. 😉
Saturday was supposed to be Kelleys Island day. It was a beautiful day. We stopped at the Marblehead Lighthouse first. The girls climbed on the rocks and we took a few photos. Then we took the Kelleys Island Ferry over so the girls could enjoy their first boat ride. We were only on the island for an hour. Stood in line forever for a golf cart only to have them run out two groups in front of us. We walked the 10 minutes to town to try and find one there. No luck and long lines at the restaurants too. We bought some candy, water and Gatorade and headed back to the ferry for a ride back to the van. How does an island whose major transportation is golf carts run out of golf carts? I give the entire island 1 star. The ferry and the guys running it were awesome and friendly but we should’ve just gone to Put-in-Bay. lol Instead, we left the ferry parking lot and headed to Mon Ami Winery. Yeah for having a pitcher of sangria for lunch instead.
We went back to the camper to “relax” for the evening. We went on a little hike. The twins did some sightseeing with their binoculars. They helped grandma feed the seagulls. We ate some pizza pies and played with sparklers. We kept our eyes on the sky all evening waiting to see some meteors but the clouds rolled in so we headed to bed.
In the end it was a nice, quick trip packed with new things to see. Ava is already talking about going to a bigger beach next year with more shells. I better start planning. Other than photography I’d have to stay vacation planning is my next favorite hobby. If you want a relaxing vacation then don’t invite me because I like to see All. The. Things.
