I'm not a writer... like at all, but I still love to blog. I love to see how all of the photos from a wedding or session come together. It's like a visual story of the day.

Here’s what the Moenings have been up to for the past week. Last Saturday, I got some much needed girl time with my college besties over Zoom. We played Flip Cup so the girls got an early education in some college drinking games. I drank beer, they had water in their cups. 😉 My cheeks hurt from laughing so hard. Our garage is one of the favorite hangout spaces these days.
Cold weather and homeschool took up most of the week but Friday we spent the day celebrating Sam’s 40th birthday. No bar crawls for us this year. His gifts included a bottle of Jack Daniels and a new Rachel Ray cooking set. lol I was sick of hearing him complain about his scrambled eggs sticking to our old pans. Luckily we had a gorgeous day so we went fishing at Prairie Oaks in the afternoon. We didn’t even get a nibble but we didn’t see anyone else there catch anything either so that may us feel better. I did get to snap our yearly spring photo on the Prairie Oaks rocks. I included the photos from the past two years too.
Back at the house we opened up one of the craft projects Grandma sent. Grandma has been keeping the girls well supplied with candy, crafts and Shirley’s Popcorn while in quarantine. ha ha We had backyard races and lounging in the grass. Dinner was supplied by Legacy Smokehouse here in Hilliard. It was pretty good so I can’t wait to experience their food at the restaurant. Sam requested strawberry cheesecake for this “birthday cake” so that it was he got. It was made by me and most definitely NOT Keto but soooo good.
Saturday, Sam did what he does best and built a new shelf in the garage. The girls worked on more crafts and had a funeral for their caterpillar that they found in the yard. It was another busy week for the Moenings. I’m thankful that the girls have adjusted to their new normal and seem to be doing well. Who knows what we will get into this week. It all depends on the Ohio weather. 🙂
