I'm not a writer... like at all, but I still love to blog. I love to see how all of the photos from a wedding or session come together. It's like a visual story of the day.

We’ve had a busy month while sitting at home. Our dream Disney vacation was cancelled at the end of March so we didn’t get to spend Ava’s birthday on the beach. Luckily her birthday fell on a gorgeous spring day so we were able to play outside. Drinks on the beach didn’t happen but drinks on the deck did.
Our new normal includes having “school” at the kitchen table every morning. The girls get to Zoom with their classmates often and we’ve been good about getting our homeschool work done before lunch. The schedule is good for mom too otherwise she wouldn’t roll out of bed until noon. lol
We’ve spent as much time as possible outside. We went hiking at Prairie Oaks and had a picnic. Lots of bike riding and driveway art are on display. Grandma sent a box full of Easter candy and surprises so that kept them busy for a while. We colored Easter eggs this year and experimented with different methods of applying the dye. We’re not very good at it. We did some video chatting with Pawpaw and Grandpa to wish them happy birthday. We even got to see the Easter bunny. He was driving around Cross Creek on a scooter. Easter morning finally arrived and the girls were excited to hunt eggs in the backyard in their pajamas. It seems that the Easter bunny hid the eggs too early in the night because the squirrels got to them. We found chewed up eggs and Reeses wrappers all of the yard. Oops. The girls chalk colored their hair and then we had a big Easter dinner.
So that’s what we’ve been up to for the past few weeks. Getting my camera out and shooting with it instead of my phone has kept me busy as well. At this rate, the Moening 2020 photo album is going to be huge. lol
