I’ve found myself picking up my camera more often these days. I’ve been using my phone because it’s easier and faster to post to social media. I know, I’m a bad photographer and not taking my own advice. In March, Sam and I finally got caught up on our family photo albums. 2019 was filled with mostly cell phone photos. Ugh, I’m ashamed of myself. lol I’m pledging to use my camera as much as possible in order to document this quarantine time with my family and to keep myself busy. I’ve got to keep my skills sharp after all. 😉

I’ll blog more later on what we’ve been doing but first I wanted to share these photos. I’ve always wanted to shoot at Goodale Park when the magnolias are blooming. Photographers are considered non-essential so I can’t book any sessions for the foreseeable future but I can shoot personal photos. The girls got all dressed up and we headed downtown to Goodale Park to check it out. We were a little early for full blooms on all of the trees but there was one gorgeous pink tree ready for us. I made sure to bring the quilt made by my great grandma. I try to incorporate it into our family portraits as often as possible. I’m happy with the results. We got out of the house and got some fresh air and sunshine, the girls were rewarded (bribed) with a new toy and I got some new images to edit/blog/share. Now, what should I plan for our next session? 🙂
